Due to several complaints, and the fact that my new compression method works better with Windows Media (9 series), I'm once again uploading my films in Windows Media format.  You'll need the latest version of Windows Media Player (at least version 9) for these films to work correctly. You may have noticed that several films are no longer available for download.  This is because I have taken them down to make space for the better films in newer, higher resolution formats.

And I don't want to hear any complaints about this from Mac users.  Guess what: 95% of the planet operates on Windows.  Which ever is better between PC and Mac is debatable, but the sheer numbers side with Windows. Besides, Windows Media Player is available for Apple computers. BraxtanFILMs are as good a reason as any to put Microsoft products on your computer!

Qucktime is available for PC.  In fact 80% of PC users have Qicktime.

Are you still using Sorenson?

Well when I get enough server space, I want to have all my films available in Windows Media, Quicktime, and Real.

However, Windows Media Player is more popular overall, and easier to encode for.  It also has a higher quality to file size ratio.  Another big reason most people don't realize is that portable devices such as PDAs or the Sony PSP support Windows Media 9 series.  There is little to no support for quicktime.

That being said, I still plan on one day having films available in all formats.  Then nobody can complain!

Actually, maybe I should just start uploading in Flash...everybody has that, right?
