At least it isn't taking as long as Ghostbusters Generations.
That thing STILL hasn't been released.

About 3.5 years, which isn't too bad, compared to some others- I know there was a few guys who "got sick of waiting for Indiana Jones 4 to come out" so they set off to make their own movie... back in the summer of 2005 or possibly earlier. Ironic that they got beaten to the punch by the real deal. I stopped caring a few years ago whether they finished it or not, but half a decade is impressive.

Speaking of Daftkid, I hope he's working on the next installment of his "Love in Chinatown" trilogy, as the first two films were riveting!

I don't know what the setback is fellas, but I can tell you I'm none to pleased about it. When I know, you'll know, again I'm sorry I feel like a complete douche. I'll update you when I know something.

Don't mean to thread hijack but I heard GBG mentioned.

GBG was my first professional venture and is still the only film I've done in the last 4 years that's yet to be released.  The delay was due to poor planning :[.  Then again, some films are NEVER released.  At least I actually get stuff done; I just got REALLY unlucky with GBG.

I actually did a 3rd foreign film which made it into festivals (can link upon request)and will be doing the last of the trilogy on 16mm in a few months!  As for GBG, the many reason behind the GBG delay:

www.megamanfilm.com

Test screened it at a gaming convention a week ago to an astonishing audience reaction Cheesy.  MM has gotten my full attention since it's going to be the more successful of the two sooo I'm gonna use the attention of MM to get more people to watch GBG (since the hype died down when I started slipping with the VFX in post-production which led to the delays).  In other words, finishing GBG won't be released  until MM is release in the beginning of the Spring.

Back to the topic at hand:

It's a given Hank and those involved in the completion of this short are very busy with both this project, work, and various other things.  It will get done when it gets done.  We waited 2 years for another Braxtan project, so I'm sure a few more days or a couple of weeks is more than manageable =].  I'm eager to see what he has cooked up but will be patient.

I'm stoked that you're still working on the Love in Chinatown series. I like that series a lot... great story line.
Have you released a new Mega Man trailer yet?

And Weiss, I don't think you're a douche, haha.
Shit happens.

I'm sorry guys, we've suffered a few setbacks recently.  The film is DONE.  Ready to release.

The problem is it was edited on a Mac, and now we have to transfer it over to a PC.  It's not that difficult, just time consuming.  In the meantime, I'll amuse you with the series of events that delayed this film so much.

Originally we shot this thing in December of 2008 (yes, 2008).  It went through a couple different editors, who eventually found themselves too busy to bother (without telling me, of course).  By the time these flakes had fallen through, it was almost August--so we figured, why not wait until Christmas?  So back to the shelf the film goes.

In October we were contacted by a fellow who wanted to distribute the film with some other shorts on DVD, so it was back on the wagon.  I met a great editor out in LA who took the project on and had a cut within a week.  But then, it was time for Christmas break!  (All this AFTER we'd put the film off because we were working on "Sports Jobs with Junior Seau").  No problem, he can edit while he's in West Virginia, and I can sound mix while I vacation in Denver!

Unfortunately, power was lost during storms in West Virginia, so I didn't even get to the sound mix until New Year's day.  Then that night, I broke my ankle in a hockey game and was out indefinitely...or three days, if you want to be technical.  I flew back to LA on a broken ankle (it's embarrassing being wheeled through the airport at the ripe old age of 29), but didn't have time to get to the film because I had to immediately start directing the feature film "The Untitled Kris Black Project".

But we're now wrapped on that film and working on getting this little short delivered to you guys.  I apologize for any retardation the project has endured thus far.

In all honesty, we wouldn't even be this far if it weren't for the persistence of Weiss...so when this movie FINALLY sees the light of day (within the next week, I promise), you all have him to thank!

Talk to you soon.

The ankle is really annoying.  I can hobble around on it, but if I move in certain ways, the ligaments get tight and I get a sharp pain from my ankle up my calf...not to mention it's really gross to think about.
