MERGED another ED GB:VG topic

Quote
I had no idea it was going to be such a prominent piece of the scenery.

It's a bright piece of pink paper placed between Ray and Egon for a cutscene...it's really prominent!!

BTW, does anybody have a high rez version of the image?  I'm trying to find a high rez screencap of the image as the original jpeg is kinda compressed.

Still haven't got my copy of the game yet...

Obviously...Smiley

What I meant was I didn't realize it was going to be a permanent decoration in the firehouse.

Yeah, I'm real curious to see whatever else is in there.

Still, this is the coolest thing to come out of our fan film making experience yet.  It's like...validation.

I think that the personal call from Erine Hudson would rank up there with the awesomeness as well.

BTW, I'm still looking for a high rez image of Ed's drawing, if anyone could snag that for me it would be great.

In the GB HQ, upstairs by Egon's station you can see a children's drawing of a guy holding a proton pack. You can clearly see, "To Uncle Egon!" from "Ed."

Changed the topic title & Merged Andrew's topic. Maybe, just maybe it will cut back on the # of "HEY THERE'S A PICTURE IN THE FIREHOUSE" topics.

But this is the internets...

I'm finally getting a chance to peruse the firehouse for the first time and I drift over by one of the workstations and see a drawing hanging from a shelf. If you can't read it, it says "To Uncle Egon, from Ed." When I saw it, I was floored. Pretty cool if you ask me.

It's pretty bad ass that people see it and know to come here.  That alone is awesome.

I beat it today, and during the credits Ray started talking about opening up new Ghostbusters franchises in Chicago, Cincinnati, and Los Angeles. Maybe it was a RotG reference.

nahh,

If Dan said Denver or something, then maybe it would be another nod...but the whole "franchise" thing was mentioned in GB I.

I'm glad that if they dropped a reference at all it was atleast dated correctyl. Given the time period the game takes place, Ed would be a child. Picked up a few things I thought COULD be Hellbent references...but I highly doubt it.

I could say for sure. No offense but y'know, Return is the only high caliber GB fanfilm with such a huge fanbase.

I found another RotGB nod in the video game...this time it's in the "Prima Strategy guide" for the game.

Not only are there several screencaps featuring the "pink paper" in the background, there is a text box on page 48 that I think mentions RotGB's "Uncle Egon" status.

In the text box, Venkman is talking to you.

He is talking about how you should check out the pool table and see the "toaster" to interact with it.  After he is done talking with you about the dancing toaster, he tells to you go over and talk with "Uncle Egon" to hear more about the tests on the toaster.

So...now Venkman is mentioning that Egon is an "Uncle"...

Is it canon yet? LOL

Emmm...

Guys.... have you Confirmed that drawing is a reference to your fan movie?   have you a letter from the creators of the game saying where are the references they put in the game and why?  ( and by the way, congratulating you for that great fan movie)?
