Don't know if you guys had seen this yet, but:

It's a bit unclear, but the child's drawing in the background reads:

"To Uncle Egon, from Ed".

This is such an awesome cameo!  Apperently there are more homages of RotGB through out the firehall, as well as some other easter eggs for GB fans to spot.

Someone needs to track down a higher rez image of the snap shot and put it on the RotGB site!

Damn, that's pretty frackin' sweet.

I noticed they used another shot from ROTGB--when the building explodes sending a light shockwave out over the city.

In the opening cinematic of the video game Venkman makes a reference to franchises.

Cool!

Since the game is set in 1991, I would assume that the franchise comment is related to other divisions and not something RotGB related (which would be post-2003).  This franchise idea was something Ackroyd always wanted to play with (since draft 1 of the first film) but I wouldn't be surprised if RotGB was one of the many aspect to help to push that idea in the game.

I, on the other hand, would be very surprised if they mentioned RotGB, simply because it takes place years after the game.
The only way that would work is if they could time travel...

Ghostbusters may have taken place in the 80's, but not every 80's movie had a Delorean.

Jesus fuck, guys. Game takes place in 1991-1992, screenshot features a child's crayon drawing signed "Ed," I bet you can figure out how it makes sense.

Also, I have never, ever, ever seen SecrecyGuy type "surprised." Ever. Fuck.

Also: Congrats on the nod, Hank.

Supposedly there's a few tributes in there.   What exactly, I don't know.  Sandman has most of the answers...

One of my friends picked up the game today and while he was walking around the fire house exploring, he came to the picture and was wondering who the hell Ed was. So naturally I explained...

I had no idea it was going to be such a prominent piece of the scenery.
