Hey, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. It’s due to the fact I haven’t wanted to film anything, and I’m getting some new gear for filming. Anyway, I’ve ran into that damn copyright crap on youtube and all of the audio has been removed. I was wondering if you guys can recommend a site, that doesn’t care about copy right like youtube. Also, has a good privacy policy and actually monitors certain material that's uploaded onto the site like youtube. Pretty much a site as responsible as youtube, but without the whole copy right crap.  Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I've had some videos tagged as having "third-party content"- they haven't done anything to me yet, but action is pending. I'll probably just remove them.

Have you looked at www.Vimeo.com ?

Yeah I have, I read their terms of use and they don’t monitor what videos come in. There may be non-kosher content on the site…and my parents won’t like that. That’s why I was allowed to use youtube, because they enforce the removable of any raunchy content. But thanks for help.

There may be another option- do you have any friends who have their own website? Maybe you can convince them to lend you some space to store video files. There wouldn't be any quality loss, no questionable content, and total control over your material.

There's a tradeoff, of course. One is that people might have to wait a few minutes (depending on the file size) for the video to load while the file is buffered. Also, the video wouldn't be "searchable"- you'd have to direct people to see it by providing a direct link.

I'm sure others could provide some better feedback- my experience with web-design is limited, but I'm renting some space from an acquaintance so my files can retain their quality. (YouTube just plain sucks.)

Ah, that passed my mind but no such luck. I found a site called blip.tv, they sound pretty good but they allow embedding and people to download the material, it’s not the worst thing. But youtube has just gotten to one of my videos, if it gets any worst I’ll really have to find another site.

I will recommend http://www.vimeo.com/ what the other poster said. It is mostly used by filmmakers.

I also recommend http://www.veoh.com/ .

Other than that, I don't know of any other sites you can go to.

Those two websites are the next best thing to YouTube and it generate lots of traffic.

The only reason why YouTube is cracking down on copyright materials is because of lawsuits. I am sure they would love to have them but they can't.
