Just wanted to give a plug to a movie I starred in. It's a sci-fi (more accurately, post-cyberpunk) short, so some of you guys might be interested in it.

Technicals: Shot on miniDV with a DVX-100 in early 2006 in St. Catharine's, Ontario.

Synopsis: In 2078 something had stopped the motor of the world.

Decades later, civilization is still recovering from the global network crash. In this post-dystopian age, remnants of the old technologies remain, including cyborgs and man-machine interfaces. To regulate the disaffected remnants - colloquially known as 'Burnouts' - the Unified Cybernetics Foundation is formed to deal with post-human law enforcement.

It is now 2106, one hundred years in the present. When two Toronto police detectives are caught in the middle of a specific multiple murder case involving Burnouts, UCF sends one of their Marshals to assist.

And when the Foundation gets involved, nothing is ever simple.

The film is 29 minutes long, produced in Southern Ontario in 2006 by the Key Pixel Gathering of Filmmakers. We are a small group of friends who produce films, based in different locations around New York State and Southern Ontario. We released it last October. The DVD is available on Amazon, through CreateSpace.

The director opted not to promote through means of a traditional trailer, but rather a preview scene, which you can watch via this handy YouTube link.

Maybe some of you guys will get a kick out of it.

I really want to check this out, but for some infernal reason, the only Stage 6 movie that I can get to play on my ancient steampunk laptop is ROTG. I'll try over at the neighbor's either later or tomorrow. I definitely want to see it though. (Do you key pixel guys ever sleep?)
