Towards the bottom of the page alphabetically under "R" is a decent entry

Another entry for FvGB

An Australian review (that should be good!)

The best thing for everyone to do if they want to help, is copy the line of text that says Do NOT DELETE, paste it in there, and add a reason why.

Problem is, it's just too early for the article, probably. We'll need a month or so of publicity for it to work.  These wikipedia warriors have NO life, and relish in the opportunity to flex they cyber muscle, crushing the dreams of would-be cewebrities like myself!

i'd do it if i had any clue how to edit wikipedia, but someone should post the link to where Return of the Ghostbusters was talked about on that canadian radio station. obviously, ontario is not local coverage for the film.

I love how people quote me on the wiki page for this.  I hate the internet sometimes--nobody can tell when I'm serious or making a joke?  Cewebrity?  Come on!  Furthermore, if you have a question as to the seriousness of a post I make, I would appreciate it if you would address me here so we can talk about it, not go post on wikipedia about how unprofessional I am.  That just screams irony, if you ask me.  But thanks for making me look like a jerk.

And it's like I said before, it's likely too early for a wiki article to stick on this film.  It's going to take a couple months of good publicity to give this film the recognition it deserves.  A wiki article on FvGB however, is not out of the question.

Also, something else I find amusing.  The person who keeps vandalizing the page has to log on from a computer at a library in Topeka, Kansas.

Yeah...it looks like we'll probably lose it.  Oh well--the film just isn't big right now.

I'm sure word of mouth will see it grow in the coming months.  Do ya'll think FvGB is notable enough?

Personally, I have a new outlook on wikipedia today...

Yes, wikipedia is an excellent source of information that can be attained very easily, but the problem with wikipedia is that they don't screen the editors they have who have such horrible reviews as the guy who actually deleted ROTG's entry.

Hank:  My view on FvGB's.... It was note-worthy, but it had the unfortunate taste of Vanity to it more than a serious flick, which I am sure you were trying to balance anyway.  Let's just face it, most of the vs. movies have that spark of Vanity, and with ROTG, i am hapy to say you didn't return to that type of plot formula.

I've been telling everyone I know would be interested in Ghostbusters to check out the movie.  I think the film suffers from being judged by it's cover.  There are limited number of people who like or even give indy/fan films, then separate the people who fall under this category who are also Ghostbusters fans....  I say the best thing to do is give it time....just because the movie is under-rated today doesn't mean it will continue to be that way.

Project is non-profit....You don't have the luxury of a multimillion dollar marketing plan for it.  It just means you will have to rely heavily on word of mouth, and that has been great for you thus far.

Best days are a head for this film and the people involved.  Don't let wikipedia get you down, believe me, the jackass edittors on that site will feel stupid when they realize what little researching skills they actually have.

I think FvGB is notable enough, just need enough references from new articles and such to make it "notable". I'd say make the FvGB article and drop in a small reference to a sequel with snippits of information and wait until ROTGB gets more publicity before trying to get it on Wikipedia again.

I do find it ironic how Wikipedia is talking about notability when almost everyone I know frowns on getting any information from it. Looks like Wiki isn't really notable itself! Hah.

Yeah, well wikipedia is fun to read through, but you never know if it's accurate for sure.  Honestly, I'm not worried about it.  Wikipedia is not what will make this film popular.

We should probably save the text before the article is deleted. If/when an article can stick I don't wanna rewrite all the stuff I contributed. :p

Yeah...just copy and paste the current wiki code here, and when (if) the article is deleted, we just upload it with the text saved here.

Cultural References
While Return of the Ghostbusters is rife with references and homages to the original Ghostbusters films, there are many other pop culture references throughout the film:
*News reporter April Hunter could have gotten her first name from the character April O'Neil, a news reporter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
*Ed is a fan of American Idol, and his cell phone ringtone is the Legend of Zelda theme.
*Neil mentions plans to spend all day watching Quantum Leap reruns.
*Ed's television persona is "Ed Spengler, the Science Nerd," a nod to scientist Bill Nye's persona (and television show) Bill Nye the Science Guy. During taping for the show, Ed paraphrases Gary Coleman's famous line from Diff'rent Strokes, asking "wha'choo talkin' 'bout, Pavel?"
*The bar fight sequence features the famous Wilhelm scream sound effect, used in many films and video games.
*Levar Gordon, Ed's hosting replacement, could have gotten his name from the actor Burton of Star Trek: The Next Generation fame, and the character Gordon Freeman, protagonist of the computer game Half-Life.
*Ed's producer refers to Levar as "a black Doogie Howser." LeVar had also claimed to write a New York Times bestseller, to which Ed retorts "Dr. Phil is on that list for a diet book! A diet book!"
*Scenes filmed outside of the Mayan Theater feature posters for Lucky Number Slevin in the background.
*Neil refers to Ed as MacGyver on his way to take April out for dinner.
*Agents J and K are a reference to Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones' characters in the Men in Black films. The detectives also end up getting into a discussion about Batman & Robin.
*Ed compares the potential growth of the ghost infestation to the franchising of Starbucks.
*There is a cameo appearance by the Angry Video Game Nerd, watching the final battle via news broadcast.

Prequel Comic
A web comic entitled Ghostbusters: The Denver Chronicles was released on the Return of the Ghostbusters website one day prior to the film's release. Co-written by Hank Braxtan & "The Sandman," the comic bridges the gap between the years between Freddy vs. Ghostbusters and Return of the Ghostbusters. The comic explains several changes that occur between the two films, primarily the loss of Ghostbuster Eugene O'Fitzpatrick (portrayed by Jason Cook in Freddy vs. Ghostbusters).

The comic finds Neil Anderson alone in Denver busting ghosts, and dealing with a few vandals who damaged the original Ecto truck from Freddy vs. Ghostbusters. Ed Spengler & Eugene O'Fitzpatrick are in London at the British Museum to answer a call that the "New York Chapter" (the original four Ghostbusters from the feature films) was too busy to handle. There, Eugene discovers a map inside an artifact to the lost city of Cynopolis. Janosz Poha, a character from Ghostbusters II (who has since moved to England to "get away from you guys"), takes this map to the sole financier of the Ancient Egypt exhibit Klaus Konstantin (and his assistant, Pavel Karnov). Twenty-eight days ater, Ed and  Eugene are invited to the archaeological site they helped Konstantin discover. They drive through the desert in an undecorated white automobile, presumably the future Ectomobile featured in Return of the Ghostbusters. Unfortunately they arrive to discover a cave-in where several crew members are injured, and Konstantin is crippled, explaining his paralysis in the film. The two Ghostbusters run to the rescue, only to have Ed incapacitated by a group of ressurected mummies, leaving Eugene to fight against them by himself. During the confrontation of Eugene and the last mummy, there's another cave-in and Eugene is killed. Ed survives.

The comic's final panel features brief appearances by the four original Ghostbusters (Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore), and their secretary Janine Melnitz, attending Eugene's funeral along with the surviving Denver Ghostbusters. Also in attendance are Mario and Luigi from the Super Mario Bros. video games, bearing the likenesses of "Captain" Lou Albano and Danny Wells from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show.<ref>{{cite web

Well I didn't want to lose it--you guys did a great job on that.  Now, who's up for the FvGB wiki?  (I suck at making wiki pages, if you hadn't gathered).
