Just so we can clear something up.

Is ROTG set 2 years or 3 years after FVG?
I thought it was 2 years, but whoever edited the prequel comic part decided it was 3. (Yes there was 3 years in between the releases but I thought the story only progress 2 years later)

I made it three, thought it was. I just changed it and removed the number, just saying "the years between" the films. that way it can stay a bit ambiguous.

I just started a "Cultural References" section, to point out the non-GB homages. Feel free to add to the list, those were just the ones I could remember off the top of my head. Smiley

When I go to the main page and type, "return of the ghostbusters".  I get nothing.  But when I type in "Return of the Ghostbusters" I get the page.  Is there some way to make the wiki non case sensitive?

But right now the wiki is all translated in to spanish or something...I don't think this is going to work...

...Fanboys-Online said it best...

Well, it's been nominated for deletion now.  I guess it's non-notable...at least, according to the guy who nominated it.  Go here to save it!

"non-notable"

thats ridiculous!

I sense someone is a bit jealous of your work or something. Who ever is doing it is looking pretty childish now.

They're bitching about no references. SO LET'S GIVE THEM SOME!

I've already got Arrow-In-The-Head's article cited.

post IMDB references for FvGB as well as for Hank and maybe they can put that in their pipe and smoke it. I am inept at editing Wiki, so can somebody please put in those external references?!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0439576/

As well as an article about ROTGB in the Denver Metropolitan Newspaper

I added James Rolfe's (the angry video game nerd) appearance in the film to his page and linked it. He is "notable" enough for wikipedia, so perhaps that could help.

Wikipedia is a joke anyway.

Wikipedia is a joke anyway.

I know, but dammit if they can't get under your skin.

According to what I read on Wikipedia we have 5 days to have the page properly cited and have enough website references and make it "notable" or it will be deleted.

C'mon AICN & Bloody-Disgusting!

-edit-
Some douche says that "One local interest story doesn't cut it." Since when is Arrow-In-The-Head and Bloody-Disgusting and IMDB local interest stories? I know he means the Metropolitan but I mean damn, Denver's a big city; plus there's more than just that.

HOw about putting in the references from the FvsGB page?  Like Arielle said.

http://www.braxtanfilm.com/fvgb.html

you know, the linked news articles on the left of the screen.

I don't know if this will matter or not, but there where alot of "cultural references" inside the DGB comic.

Besides the obvious Super Mario Brothers Super Show cameos.  The mummies that attacked the Ghostbusters are from the Mummies Alive cartoon show.  The "proton pistol" and "portable containment unit" are from the 1998 Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon show.  The distinct trailing cigarette smoke is a direct mimic of Paul's cigarette smoke from the Fanboys-Online webcomic strip.  Obviously several members of braxtanfilm had cameos in the comic.  The blue car that gets toasted in the beginning is a 1960 Desoto Adventurer.  The same kind of car used by the Freelance Police, Sam & Max.

I think that is all of them for the comic...

as for the "cultural references" for the RotGB movie.

The Ecto Motion Tracker used by Pavel was a prop from the movie Aliens.  The "Eye of Anubis" is the headstaff of Ra from the Indiana Jones movies.  Ed's ringtone for his cellphone was the theme to the classic "Zelda" NES game.  Umm...is that all of them...?

granted the "original article link" doesn't lead anywhere because it looks like that page was deleted, but I thought it was pretty interesting.

Also Ernie Hudson gave Hank a call about FvsGB!  If that is "non-notable", I don't know what is.
