At this time the film is 99% complete, and the premiere is booked solid. More than 400 people will cram into the Mayan Theater in Denver, Colorado on October 25th to witness Return of the Ghostbusters on the big screen. Six days later, on Halloween, the film will debut online exclusively through ifilm.

It's been quite a journey--more than three years since inception and nearly two years since the beginning of production. Over eight months of shooting, a year of pickups, a year and a half of visual effects and post production, and countless hours spent on messenger programs zipping files back and forth. It all boils down to an 85 minute feature fan film that may end up being the best ever made. What is more certain, is that it will likely be the last and final fan film produced by BraxtanFILM.

Great news Hank its about time but it has been worth the very long wait. I have been fallowing you since the beginning and it has been a wonderful journey even though its sad that this could be the last BraxtanFILM. But it will be a good one no doubt and better than Rob Zombies Halloween watching this movie will make my Halloween complete this year. Will there ever be a dvd? I think this time instead of burning them for people post the dvd on braxtanfilm.com for download like Star Wars Revelations! Long live the Ghostbusters and long live BraxtanFILM.com!

UGH....I hate Ifilm, really they suck in my book. They're a bit nitpicky. Anyway, do you think the film will be available at any point in time as a torrent so that people can burn their own DVD's as opposed to bugging the hell out of you?

I told ifilm I'd give it to them exclusively for a while.  This could be a week, or a month.  Who knows.  But when the DVD is ready, it will be an ISO file shared through bit torrents.

This is a most auspicious announcement Hank and I am very much looking forward to it as I have for quite some time now.  I will indeed be getting a DVD when they become available.  It's pretty bittersweet that this will be your last fan film you will be producing but you have already left a legacy and I'm sure you will continue to do so in your future work.  I hope to work with you on a project someday.

I wish to congratulate you Hank & all the cast of ROTGB on a job well done, & a big thank you. Thanks to FVGB back in 04, I have renewed my appreciation for the Ghostbusters franchise. You also gave me a calling in life. Because of your films, I aspirer to make my own fan films & original movies.

I hope all the best to everyone at BraxtanFilm.

Best Wishes,

Alex

Yes, I suppose it is an auspicious claim.  Until now, I've only hinted at the fact that I think it will be the best fan film ever.  But now I've seen most of it; and it is truly amazing.  Also, no offense to anybody else's work--because there are some truly great films out there--but I've never seen one like this.

Until it all came together with sound and music, I wasn't totally sure.  I knew it would be great, but I can honestly say that when I sit down and watch this movie, I am genuinely impressed and entertained.

But keep in mind, this movie isn't meant to compete with anyone.  It's meant to compliment a franchise.  And hopefully, inspire more great films--both amateur and professional alike.

ROTGB won't be the best fan film ever.  That title will forever belong to "Jason. vs. a Ghostbuster"......

But I still look forward to ROTGB no less!

You just mention one of your old worst movie ever made...

You mean Freddy vs. Ghostbusters.

But I am looking forward in seeing your fan film "daftkid909". I think the Ghostbusters Generations will be one of your best film ever.

Well the limiting the # of downloads is a big part.
Plus I combined Rapidshare and Shit together thus making it appear as though Rapidshare is bad.

hahaha i get what u mean, i wish it wasnt in parts and only 100mb, i backed up my baby 4d scan dvd and took blood ages, especially putting individual parts to make up the silly 100mb lol its crap tho if you don't pay for it, i got premium, so its all good i guess lol

i would get megaupload or megashares, but rapidshare has been reliable so I'm sticking to that for now Smiley
