I am making a Spider-Man fan film titled "The Rise Of Venom". Right now the script is being written and will start filming this September and it'll probably be release somewhere in the summer of 2008. This story is mainly the struggle with Eddie Brock. And no this isn't anything like Spider-Man 3, this movie will have more Venom and a lot of action scenes with him and Spider-Man. I had this idea way back before the Black Spider-Man poster for Spider-Man 3 came out, way before we heard that Venom was going to be in Spider-Man 3 so don't say that I am copying since basically I am not. Last December I finally decided to make this film and started on the script. And so far now I have about 5-6 actors (the person who is playing Spider-Man in this fan film knows Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell in person, and who knows they might help in some way...maybe). And I got a band doing the soundtrack, and got two people to do the CGI (I can show you the CGI models if you want). But I still need to get or make costumes and to finished the script. Right now the script and the story as well is going great, a lot of character development in the progress and they're great as well. So expect a newer and better teaser trailer this September (somewhere in that month) or the next.

Visit the official website for more information.

I honestly doubt Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell will have a hand in this. Not even a palm.

Maybe a stink palm though.

Well I didn't meant they would, I said maybe. Even I also doubt it too, but my friend Kenny (Spider-Man/Peter Parker in this film) said that he could get them both to help but pretty much got me laughing since that would be impossible. But who knows, since he does know them (and theres proof too) he can probably ask but they would probably not help with this film.

Me too.
Good luck though Dylan.
Thanks Glenn, and you too on your project (looks good so far).

I really dont think probably is even a pushable word here. Fact of the matter is, there's a difference between KNOWNING someone and MEETING someone. I've MET Bruce Campbell before, but I sure as fuck wouldnt say I know him and I have no delusions that he'd remember me if I met him again. Your friend seems to be pulling your leg on this one, because the chances of him getting Bruce or Ted to help with a fan film that would pay them nothing is probably about as good as Jasonfreak's chances of his brain-dead nature fading.

Just because he has met them, doesn't mean they're his bitches.

Anyway, don't hold your breath.

Another thing to consider: If those two are members of the Screen Actors' Guild, they would seriously jeopardize their careers by appearing in a non-union gig. (If nothing else, they would be heavily fined- and I don't think either one is THAT well-off.)

Well considering Sam Raimi isn't an actor, I doubt he's in SAG. But I'm sure he is in the Director's Guild.

Well either way, it probably wont happen.

Oh, and Sam appeared in the Shining, so he's got a SAG card.

He's appeared in over 20 movies, actually. Smiley

Check out his filmography (as actor)

Look get over it, neither Ted Raimi or Bruce Campbell will be in this film!
Still sound ok though, but we need some more information!

Well filming won't start anytime soon. Well kind of, just for the 'actual teaser' footage, but the cast and I have to run through rehearsals first. And I also have to get a wire that would allow to import videos from my DVD camcorder into my computer. No luck to find that wire yet, but hopefully I'll find one soon.

If you have any knowledge on camcorders you would be looking for a "Firewire" cable. Thats if your camera isnt really old.
