I've received all the artwork I need. Thanks to everyone who submitted!
HERE'S WHAT TO DO:
Return of the Ghostbusters
needs magazine covers for the montage. Pretty simple, right? Come up with your own magazine design, submit it via the message boards, and your magazine could end up in the movie! In addition, you will receive due credit in the film.
Link to some images to get you started:
http://www.braxtanfilm.com/ROTGB.zip
Here's a magazine by Bryan Sanders that is an excellent example:
TECHNICAL SPECS:
Make sure your magazine cover is at least 1000 pixels tall, and 300 dpi. You can submit smaller versions in this thread, but have a high res version available for the film.
So get crackin'! You have at least three months! But submit early, and submit often!
Coming soon: Return of the Ghostbusters!!!

I assume you're wanting to use the same graphics made available for the first contest? Just wondering.

Width is not as important. Obviously if the height is 1000 pixels, you can go by eye on width.

answer my question, you going for print?
For screen purposes, 300DPI is overkill.

Perhaps it has something to do with matching with the film quality appropriatley...not sure why that would matter...but maybe.

Why the fuck do you care? It's not like you will actually make anything.

It is always better to work in high resolutions and higher DPI compared to lower DPI and smaller resolutions. It is easy to go from big to small then to small to big. Cause then it gets all pixelated, and funky. But if you work in Vector Lines (like my above GB mag cover) you don't have to worry that. As I could scale it to any size and it would still be crisp in detail.

I care because I'm thinking that there are people over here who want to participate and don't have high end computers. In that case it would be overkill for their computers.
And no, I won't make anything. I don't spend my time on something that's not worth it.

These are good starts, but need polishing. The ecto looks squished in AZ's, and the colors are a bit loud.
In the second one, I don't even know what magazine that is! I recommend using real magazines, guys...

figured i should throw this one up too. didn't feel like making up all new stories for the magazines (outside of the GB stuff) so they're mostly actual articles from previous issues put onto my new artwork.

Only thing I would consider doing is making more of the headlines GB related. Bonus points for articles relating to BraxtanFILM!
