Hank,

Looking forward to the film. Do you have a guess as to how large the file will be when it's ready to download? Fvgb came out to roughly 135MB, which was about 34 minutes and some seconds.

Can we expect a 400~ MB download for the sequel?

Ah, 400MB isn't that much. half an hour download at most.

Of course 56k people would have to wait longer.

It seems Hank will also provide a torrent for the DVD ISO ( 4gbs roughly).  He hasn't really mentioned anything else but I think it would be best that the direct download file should be 600mbs (compressing a 80 minute film to that size while maintaining good quality would be best).

There was also talk about releasing the film in HD (superior resolution even to a dvd iso), that would make filesize pretty enormous.  Take my advice, make sure you have broadband for this film.  It's going to be over an hour long, well longer than fvgb was.

It will likely be released online on sites that stream the video in multiple formats.  In addition, there will be a DVD iso file made available for download. 


The film should be about 80 minutes.  I'm hoping to keep it around there, or even shorter, but 80 seems about right.

Yeah, something about trying to make an 80 minute DV Quality film into a small filesize smells of high improbability.  Unless, of course, anyone out there wants to volunteer to code a new lossless video codec....
