Ghostbusters: Generation (2 Proton Packs being Sold!)

Many say "I'm gonna make a GB fan film LOLOLOLLO! it be beterr than fvsGBB haHA!!", many say that they will make a GB fan film but it falls through.
Ghostbuster fan films are beginning to become less of a rarity (Thanks to My. Braxtan). We can't deny the truth that some are subpar, while some are entertaining and amusing. Few to this date have released a carefully craft and well executed Ghostbuster fan film. The point of that this. I have a goal, an ambition. And it is to be added to that list of the few willing to give it there all to make a GB fan film.
I can simply say I'm making a Ghostbuster fan film but I guess I would make it seem like I'm making a cheap ass attempt at one ( remember my film Jason vs a Ghostbuster from a few years ago?...Exactly, it was trash.)
I am a fan of the Ghostbusters and I have for the longest wanted to make an actually Ghostbusters fan film, not something spur of the moment, not something thoughtless. Something with a fresh twist on the formula of the source material. That's where "Ghostbusters: Next Gen" comes in.
I have been in preproduction of this film giving it my all to make something of quality from props, to costumes, to story, and characters. The first day of filming is scheduled for the end of May in NYC at the building for the Department of NYPD Investigations. I don't want to discuss the plot until I am completely happy with every aspect of the story. Only thing I can say is that the main demon is based off the actual hell demon of "Lucifuge, the Prime Minsiter of Hell."
Auditions took place today in NYC with a great turn out and even better performers. They were taped and will be reviewed over the weekend. Using whatever connections and resources along with my developing talent, I want to make one of the better GB fan films and give the fans something intriguing and enjoyable to watch and a film I can finally be fully proud of knowing that I didn't hold back or took the easy way out.
I will post pictures soon of the locations and the various actors that tried out at the auditions within the week...

All due respect.. I just cant take it serious anymore.. Although this particular projects sounds good and all, its just too ridiculos now. EVERYBODY is making a Ghostbusters fan film.. Or.. correct that.. EVERYBODY is TALKING about the Ghostbusters fan film that they will make.. Posting silly pictures of locations, making crappy teaser trailers for a movie that will probably NEVER get made. And after the announcement, thay usually return to tell people that the project has been delayed, postponed or whatever.. because of this or that .. but it will DEFINATELY get made.. (right..)
People-- you are killing the idea for christ sake.. Cant you see it?? Make something new.. something different.. Dont all try to do Braxtan..
And you know what the difference between you and Braxtan is.. ?? He is ACTUALLY shooting the film rigt now!! He hasnt spent thread upon thread telling everybody about his ideas. He is DOING it. That makes him believable. That makes him seem serious. And That is what it takes for people to notice you. Right now a lot of you are being noticed as "The guy who talked and talked about making a GB fan film, but never got his shit together for anything else but talking...
And I know that people will now sit there thinking, and maybe even post it in this tread "I am definately making my movie.. it just takes a little more time, and I have to find... bla bla bla bla..."
As I started the thread.. The actual project described in this thread sounds good.. It seems that you have come a long way already, which makes me believe that it might actually happen! So good luck with it!
Aah... tat felt good..

Here is the difference between me and those that say they will make a GB fan film: I have the understanding of what I'm doing, I have the resources to do it, and I have years of experience and understanding of the art.
Love my movies or hate them, ever movie you have heard about on this forum, every movie I have promoted for myself, I have made them. No BS, no nonsense. I said I would make them and I did.
I am not some guy making movies because I want to be cool, because I have nothing better to do, because I have a camera and I figure "why the hell not?". Film making is my life. My whole world revolves around it and I rather shoot myself in the head then announce a project, talk about how good it is, just to give up when I haven't even started. Hell, I almost ran a red light yesterday think about film making.
I don't go into such a project unless I know what I want to do and if it's worth. In the end, it will be worth it. I am not trying to be a Braxtan, I just want to be the film maker I am and I want to make a fresh, true to the source, Ghostbuster fan film...
Thanks for the support and I have one more thing to say:
This movie is more than just my first elaborate production. This is a message. To every person who wants to make such a film. Get ready for the long haul and be prepared. Making a fan film or any film for that matter isn't just something that can happen spur of the moment. I'm in it for the loug haul and that's why I'm ready..

With May 20th coming closer, we are getting ready for the first day of production in New York. The location is being locked for the first bust sequence. I am currently working and planning out the film schedule with the actors for the first three weeks of filming and designing the beam effects for the film which I can humbly say will be one of the best stream effects on a fan film to date thanks to a new method I have developed.

Update!:
99% of the script is completed ending around 60 pages. More locations are being obtained for filming of the montage and basic scenes including:
-The Federal Reserve Bulding
-Time Square
-An NYC Pier
-A Vacant Emgrint Bank with a very classical style.
-A Coutroom with 7 offices.
The script seems to be dark for a Ghostbuster film since this is the new direction I want to head in. The script involves much more emotions than an average fan film is willing to apply. I honestly can say this film will be pleasing to many in the end with the effort the actors, crew, and myself are willing to put in and I am looking forward to providing more updates, screenshots, and effects test. And to end this update, here are images of the trap obtained for the film (images where a bit too large to post so here are links):

http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/8002/mytrap39jt.jpg
http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/7425/dsc036074cb.jpg
One thing I really want to get out in the open is that this movie should not be compared to Hank's GB films since people will not take this project seriously if doing so. I can promise of film with production value and a unique style but my film will be a very standalone film. Don't expect a rip off on the ROTGB hype or the film that is FvsGB. I hope the film rides on it's own hype rather than Hank's since some wil thinkl of me as a "follower". I am giving it my all to make a unique GB fan film that won't be compared to other high end GB fan films that has been released or is to be released.

Hey everyone. A quick update:
Today, we began the construction of a new PKE meter that should be very pleasing and stylish.
Filming was pushed back to this Saturday to allow more time for prepartion. The locations in NYC are locked, the cast and crew is confirmed, and the time is set. The budget has reached higher than I thought but no worries.
Based on how everything is coming along, I honestly can say that this film will be one of the best GB fan film to date...well...one of the top five (ROTGB, FvsGB-....maybe GB of LA....are there any more?)!
I guess I will share a basic plot line:
The story begins with Tim Beckett, a graduate of NYU and an intelligent man. When he is kicks out of the "Paranormal Studies" division after it closes down, he falls into the career known as the Ghostbusters. He is given permission is reopen the business which causes controversry since the business has had many up's and down's financially. The main plot revolves around Lucifuge, the Prime Minister of Hell. He's feeds off tormented soul which is where most of the film's emotion comes from. Characters presented in the story have backstories involving sexual abuse and lost family members through murders. Such events fuel Lucifuge and by using his powers of influence causes his victim into insanity and suicide and these tormented souls allow him to grow in power.
Going into this, I wanted to make a well made, GB film my way. Except a new approach to the franchise while being fateful to the formula. Stills will be posted Saturday night and I can say that is the day people know what is really being made here.

Best of luck to you too!
Tomorrow I will present the pics from filming and the new PKE meter designed for the film ( which includes custom LED lighting effects and various lighting speeds). The prop designer also designed a great concept for the "Ecto V" should be pretty elaborate but visually appealing. Dont expect some random mid-size car to be slightly mocked up. I am getting the specific vechile I had in mind when writing the 63 page script (pretty long I should say for a fan film).

Hello all!
Just finished filming in NYC (I'm actually posting this from the location) and filming was AMAZING. The cast I've chosen are extremely talented and comedically sound (one was on Comedy Central and one was trained by the Upright Citizens Brigade). I can't wait until this project is complete and to give the fans something they will REALLY like. I'll be back in 3 hours to pst production pics.

Visually, the film should be quite nice but what should get over with the fans are the characters. I refer to the actors as "the Godsends". I couldn't have found funnier, talented, more knowledgable actors and what they delivered to the characters was simply fantasic.

Update:
We are getting ready for this weekend's filming. By next weekend, the film should reach 15-20% production completion. I'm even adding more sequences to the 60 page screenplay to up the fun factor and add character development. In the time span of production, I will be putting online 4 film clips and a trailer. This weekend should be a busy one so expect more treats!

Update:
I pushed some filming back to a bit to allow me and my crew to finishs props, revise some of the script, and lock more locations for different scene. I don't want to half ass my way through the film. I made a promise to myself and I must keep it.
