2  BraxtanFILM forum! / =BraxtanFILM Movies= / Re: TOP SECRET!! Upcoming Braxtanfilm Feature Photos Leaked!! on: July 25, 2010, 07:11:50 AM
I don't mean BraxtanFILM is making another feature.  BraxtanFILM for all intents and purposes is dead at the moment.

I will be producing and directing an original feature in the fall, but I post about it here because...well, you keep coming here!

Is BraxtanFILM dead forever?  Who knows.  I won't be doing any fan films until I make some serious cash first.  Most of the original members of BraxtanFILM have gone on to continue to work in the film industry.  The guys who did the FX on ROTGB own an FX company called AuthorityFX.  Several of the actors continue to do so, you can follow their progress if you wish.  The lighting and camera department are all out in LA working professionally.

There will be some new shorts one day--I can promise you that.  But the main people that was and is BraxtanFILM are spread out across the country.  So maybe one day we'll meet up and make something again.

Good luck with the feature Hank, I reckon the BraxtanFILM crew will return one day and become very successful, FACT.

That just looks cheap and nasty, no offence.

Welcome back Hank! its been a while, the forum has been over run with giant tumble weeds in your absence, the kind like the attack of the killer tomatoes! Ive drifted in and the forum these past few months, wondering when youll leak some info on your horror feature (if you were still working on it). Sounds like it may have fallen through but your hungry to do your own thing judgin from what you written (could be wrong). Anyways, good to have you back!
5  BraxtanFILM forum! / Off Topic / Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street remake - Trailer on: September 30, 2009, 06:53:37 AM
What a pile of bollocks, dont even sound or look scary at all. What a load of crap.

For me, it's ruined the title of a great horror.

I get the impression Krueger seems like a wimp at the beginning when hunted down. I prefer the evil version they did in the Freddy's Nightmare series, where Krueger had no remorse and knew he'd be back for more horror beyond the grave.

I think they should of stuck with that.

Looks lame, but I'll give it a watch still lol.

Wow, I can't believe I actually read this whole arguement LOL.

All I can say is, if you're litterally desperate for money, I guess It's better than stealing out of a shop (which affects the shop owner and their profits)

You just need to aknowledge the long term affects if you get caught, you get slammed with a massive fine and usually prison.

So, best save some of the cash you make just incase... I hear its $250,000 in the US, though I may be wrong.

What happened to him man?

Maybe he'll return with all his ideas blended into one monstrous mega-fan film titled "A Nightmare on Elm Street on Halloween during Friday the 13th: Attack of/Dawn of/Day of/Revenge of/Origin of/Return of/Son of Michael Myers"   Wink

Hahahahahaha

Oh man, I need to go to the toilet Cheesy

Wouldn't it be funny if he became the next best Horror screenwriter/film maker of all time?

...and make more mini edgarfrog's in his mission of world domination of fan films of his own films Huh
11  BraxtanFILM forum! / Off Topic / Re: Now hiring strikers???? on: July 26, 2009, 07:58:16 AM
What.

Hell, if some random dude wants to resurrect old threads, I say let him! In fact, maybe I'll go do the same, starting with any of the 200+ Edgarfrog movie threads. Wink

LMFAO!!!

What happened to him man? I remember every time he'd come up with a new idea, he'd totally abandon the previous. What a legend.

How come you're ending the film making? I've been waiting for a while to see what else you were going to do and post up here.

Shame like, I think you should get back into it and produce something else, either Mask related or something original.
14  BraxtanFILM forum! / News Archive / Re: Ghostbusters 3 finally? on: July 04, 2009, 03:55:29 PM
First of all, Drag me to Hell was not scary.  It relied on loud noises and cheap startle tactics--that's not true terror, that's just annoying.

If your movie gives me nightmares, then it's scary.

As for female Ghostbusters...no.  Just no.  It's too much of a desperate attempt to gain adulation from the liberal/sensitive/new age/everyone is equal/hippie bullshit.  Ie, it's too gimicky.  Ghostbusters doesn't need gimmicks, Ghostbusters needs talent.

What actress out there is possibly in the same league as Bill Murray?  None.

Put the hot chick behind the desk where she belongs.  Women can't carry proton packs.  They suck ass at being soldiers and I'm willing to bet they couldn't pull their own weight busting ghosts...but I guess we'll never know!

Sorry I know this was last month but I just saw the film.

Yeah, a whole lot of loud noises used to make you jump, Ineed quite cheap. Though it was pretty horrific and violent, which is something you don't see in movies nowadays, definitly felt like a Sam Raimi (spelt right?) movie. The end was very predictable but still enjoyable, It felt a lot like Stephen Kings 'Thinner' to me though, with the gypsy curse and all that.

I'd give the story 6/10 and the horror 8/10. Smiley
15  BraxtanFILM forum! / Announcements / Re: Remake of Nightmare on Elm Street on: July 04, 2009, 03:42:37 PM
To me it seemed mor eliek Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but other than that it was good to see Jason back to his running self.

I agree with Hank, didn't feel like Jason but then again it was probably the way it was written.

The teenagers in the movie were too cheesey and lame, that's what spoilt it for me. For fucks sake can anyone not write a great horror/slasher and not rely on dumb-witted idiots for the victims.

I think the whole missing person thing worked well, just not the idiot characters, who cared when they died? not me.

As for the remake of Nightmare, I hope they make this a kind of mix between the original and the first episode 'No more Mr. nice guy' from the Freddy's Nightmares series. - Nothing wrong with the original, just hollywood gone dry again and wanting to leech off a classic.

I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, seemed very cheesey.

The action was entertaining, but other than that I didn't really care for it. The first movie was the best in my opinion.
18  BraxtanFILM forum! / "RETURN OF THE GHOSTBUSTERS" / Re: ROTGB HAS CRESTED THE THE TOP 300 MOVIES OF ALL TIME MARK INCREDIBLE on: June 24, 2009, 01:13:51 PM
http://pro.imdb.com/moviemeter/weekly?start=250

I don't know if you can view the page without being a subscriber, but to put this in perspective, we currently sit ahead of great films like "Seven" "The Usual Suspects" even "Pirates of the Carribbean"

Un-fucking-believable

Jesus, that's fucking mad!

Saying that though, no disrespect but there ratings are pretty strange. I mean in the top 50 horror movies, Shaun of the Dead is ranked 24th, beating the original Halloween (28) and even Misery (45).

I enjoyed ROTGB, but realistically it aint better than SEVEN, and a lot of the ratings on there are just bollocks.

But as long as it gives exposure to the Braxtan Filmakers, I'm happy for you Smiley You lot deserve it for your talents, effort and commitment!
19  BraxtanFILM forum! / Your Indie Films / Re: =HELLBENT UPDATES= Release Date June 21st on: June 24, 2009, 02:59:36 AM
You could always upload it onto file hosting sites in parts.

Rapidshare, Megaupload, yousendit, filefactory, mediafire, hotfile

There's quite a lot of different ones on the net, some are 100mb upload, and some are 200mb.

Would probably be much faster than torrent to download aswell depending on your broadband speed.
20  BraxtanFILM forum! / "RETURN OF THE GHOSTBUSTERS" / Re: ROTGB is FINALLY on IMDb! on: June 24, 2009, 02:52:58 AM
1.8 Million by today's standards is ridiculously low budget.  Anything below 4 million is low budget.  Anything below a million is microcinema!

A modestly budgeted film is in the 8 figure range.

Who has that kind of money though?

There are over six million millionaires in the United States alone. I live in the middle of nowhere and I know at least four in the local area. The money is out there. It's having something that people will want to invest in that's the trick.

I guess so.
