Pros:
Real Ecto looks great.
Decent visuals
Cons:
No creativity, basically a lifted scene from the original.
5 ghostbusters and no black guy? I know you have them over there. lol.
I'm hoping the feature has more to look forward to. If it is just your version of the original I'll be very disappointed.
(I feel I can critique seeing as my silhouette is your avatar. lol.) Don't let me down, be creative, especially since your using someone else's material.

I really really tried to watch it, but couldn't get through the first 3 minutes. I think a tripod would be a good investment. When you set out to make any "movie" fan film or other, I think the first thing on the director's mind should be "I'm making a movie, It must flow well." I think they may have forgotten that. However, I will say this, congratulations to them for sticking their nuts out their for the public to chop them off.

We are an "in-house" operation. That basically means we produce and sell our own ideas. However, if you have stuff complete (and I do mean complete) treatments, finished and finalized scripts, roughly edited films, we might take a look. We don't listen to pitches though. We aren't money men, we are doing the same thing you are. Good Luck!

It's not really "illegal", it's a civil matter. What it boils down to is if the complainant can demonstrate that reasonable damage has been done by either:
a) profiting from someones previous copyrighted work.
b) damaging the profitability of the work for the copyright owner.
The first one is way easier to prove. Most cases settle, if they even get beyond a cease and desist.
In some cases the complainant actually files suit against someone who has inadvertently improved the profitability of the property.
You only ever hear about the most egregious of cases.
I guess the point is, if you're making a fan film with no intention of selling, exhibiting for profit, or distributing. I really wouldn't worry about it. That being said, if you do receive a cease and desist letter, honor it. Consider it a warning before a cadre of Mr. Burnesque type lawyers scurry out of the woodwork to carve up your vitals.

It's coming sorry for the delay, but apparently Hank doesn't love you guys as much as I do.
Should be up within the next couple of days.
Hank was supposed to get on and make that announcement but I think he's afraid of his house getting egged or something.

Come one, come all, gather round and hear me well.
I bet all you Braxtan loyalists thought we had forgotten about you. Well fear not, I know two years have passed since our last release, but come Christmas eve night we will be releasing a new short. We here at BraxtanFILM long for the days when you basement dwellers allowed us to rape your eyes with guerrilla comedy shorts and fanfilms. We know some of you have been patiently waiting for us to explode onto the Hollywood scene so you could say "I knew them when." Well, for you die hards this is our way of saying thanks, and Happy Holidays.
No questions please, like any gift, you'll have to be patient til it's time to open it.
We look forward to your response, and from all of us here, have a safe and Merry Christmas!
J. Michael Weiss

Hank and I are all about striking while the iron is hot, but we need to activate the "Braxtanarmy" (that's you guys) I imagine alot of you are registered on several different forums. the mission, should you choose to accept it is to post about the remarkable ranking of RotGB on IMDb.com, here are 2 links, 1 is to imdb, and the other is to another topic on this board relating to it. http://www.braxtanfilm.com/smf/index.php?topic=4180.0http://pro.imdb.com/title/tt1230164/graph-dataSo heres the what we need. Go to these respective boards and post your opinion, and if you wouldn't mind copy and paste the following: "Hank, myself and the rest of the cast and crew would like to thank the awesome team behind the new Ghostbusters video game for including such a great nod to our fan film. Because of their efforts, and the efforts of all the fans who've supported our project and the Ghostbusters franchise itself, "Return of the Ghostbusters" has breached the top 300 movies of all time on IMDb.com http://pro.imdb.com/title/tt1230164/graph-dataThis is a stellar feat for any commercial movie, but what makes this so special to us is the obvious fact that this was enormous collaboration with people and fans all over the world who worked tirelessly and exceptionally, for no money, to make a fan film! We appreciate all the votes and kind words we've received, (we even appreciate the negative ones, helps us get better as filmmakers) Now let's see if we can get into the coveted TOP 250!!! Thanks again from your actor on the inside, J. Michael Weiss"
