Needless to say. I just made 4 gallons of the stuff.

(I'm not kidding)
2  BraxtanFILM forum! / "RETURN OF THE GHOSTBUSTERS" / Re: ROTGB DVDs on: July 12, 2011, 10:55:32 PM
Now this is how the whole ordeal is going to work – we’ll contend with business through PM, you can ask questions here on the thread if you want. If you prefer to do things by email, email address is ark_of_chaos@bak.rr.com. Please put “ROTGB DVD” as the subject title of the email. As you understand, I CANNOT charge a fee for these DVDs. But I will have you pay for postage only, which will be $1.88. Also I require you to send your own DVD+R, I've been using Sony, so I would feel more comfortable if you get that brand. I'm sure others would work, but hey, rather be safe than sorry. You will receive the DVD with a case and cover art. The cover art I used on my own copy is this -

I'm pretty the $1.88 thing is still a problem. You can probably get away with asking people to send you a self-addressed-stamped-envelope and the  blank dvd. But if ANY money exchanges hands (regardless of whether you're technically not profiting) then there's a problem.

And now it's my turn to plug a video.

We shot it waaaaaay back in like April & May, and it kinda sat on my hard drive for 6 months. It was really just a test more or less, I had never shot anything in a moving vehicle (and plan on never doing it again) and it was my first time working with a bunch of new people. Also it stayed unreleased for so long because of a less than a second shot, it was my first attempt at a reverse shot and I didn't think it out too well...so it looks terrible (it was really hot too so I was like "let's just get it done").

I enjoyed this, alot. The only thing I can really criticize is the sound quality (but I'm one to talk), but it's always great to see you guys still working on stuff.

6  BraxtanFILM forum! / Your Indie Films / Re: The Sweded Evil Dead on: September 28, 2010, 05:46:48 PM
Funnily enough, I think that is the smallest of the blood effects. (And by effects I mean throwing cups of blood) And it's about 4 frames away from splashing up against that wall behind him.
7  BraxtanFILM forum! / Your Indie Films / The Sweded Evil Dead (Released 9-29-10) on: September 28, 2010, 03:18:36 PM
So yeah, I know the forum has been dead for awhile...but hey. So this Indie-Theater is doing another Sweded Film Festival. But this one has a Horror theme.

So I had to do the Evil Dead. (With some bits of Evil Dead 2)
We shot this in an abandoned house my friend owns. So we absolutely trashed that place.

IT'S ONLINE NOW!

I'm still in College so Facebook is pretty much a prerequisite. I started doing Twitter, but I really don't have a legitimate reason for updating it as much as I do. Probably about 30 of my followers are actual people, and then probably about 10 actually check the thing anymore.

It probably has to do with that I have relatives and people I went to church with on Facebook so I do what I can to keep it "clean", while on Twitter I can say whatever I want. Which is why my twitter posts are probably 90x funnier than anything I say there.

I have no idea who should play the Joker in future Batman movies. But at the same time, I do feel that Nolan should recast the part. I mean in the comics the Joker's appearance and personality have radically changed over the years, so it does kinda fit in that context. That and I think the role is much larger than one actor. I would really like to sit down with those guys and just hear what they had planned for the Joker were Heath still alive. It had to have been something incredible that will never be fully imagined now.
10  BraxtanFILM forum! / Your Indie Films / Re: Reservoir Dogs (Sweded) RELEASED 06-23-10 on: July 26, 2010, 08:50:28 PM
If anybody cares, the video did actually get into the Festival. (Granted I have a feeling we didn't have to try too hard to get in)

The place also announced a Horror themed Sweded Film Festival for Halloween. I may make something for that, I'm just not finding any horror movie that just screams to me.

Double Post FTL!

Anyways.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwpY5y31BkM

More videos to come this summer, I promise. Heck, I have one ten minute short that I shot before this nearly complete. It's just some things came up with the guy originally doing the music, so I am back to square one. More on that one soon.
14  BraxtanFILM forum! / Your Indie Films / Reservoir Dogs (Sweded) RELEASED 06-23-10 on: June 21, 2010, 12:58:47 AM
So in my hometown there's going to be a "Sweded Film Festival" in August. So I got a bunch of my old acting buddies together and in just under 5 hours shot a 5 minute remake of Reservoir Dogs.

It's nearly complete. The deadline to enter is the 1st. But I am completely free Tuesday, so I will make sure it's done by then and online by Wednesday.

Just a taste:

Not really. Just more motivation.

I gotta ask though, when you Swede a film, is that a parody or a fan film? Both?

I was sold at the title.
17  BraxtanFILM forum! / Off Topic / Re: This makes national front page Yahoo news today. on: May 23, 2010, 03:11:16 PM
It's one thing to do improv as part of like an acting class. It's another to say "hey pay $5 to watch me and some friends of mine who aren't good enough to get into a real play just make it up as we go along".

Really? You couldn't just write a one-act play about a barber and his hair-eating-man-child-lover? You have to make it up as you go along? I mean when they come out and say "I will doing this, and he will be doing this" then they definitely put some thought into where these "scenes" could go. So why not just write it?

My apologies to anybody who might be in an improv troupe, but prove me wrong.

Am I the only person who really doesn't like improv groups? They come off to me as being really sad. "Hi! We're quirky! Pay to see us!"

Also weren't the interiors of the library shot in LA? Just saying...
19  BraxtanFILM forum! / Your Indie Films / Re: Ghostbusters: SLC? on: May 13, 2010, 09:12:23 PM
Saw a couple where they really trashed the acting, but I more or less meant that even though there is a feature length Ghostbusters fan film made by professionals and made with great participation from the fan community out there... a half an hour action scene with sub-par fx is hailed as "the best gb fan film ever" and that it "is the only one out there to recapture the essence of the original movies".
20  BraxtanFILM forum! / Your Indie Films / Ghostbusters: SLC? on: May 13, 2010, 02:43:29 PM
http://ghostbustersnews.com/?p=1762

So these guys made a fanfilm. It's not half bad, it's pretty well shot. You can tell that the FX weren't farmed out to the best guys. And it's essentially one 30 minute long bust scene. But definitely a good motivator (more on that later).

But I bring this up mostly because MAN did most of the GB forums just turn on ROTG! (Oddly enough, not FVJ)
