This is my most popular US Army related short film. I must admit, I enjoy it as well. It all started when I was tasked to provide the entertainment for our Battalion’s Overhead Conference. CPT Wedley had the idea to imitate the Terry Tate: Office linebacker videos, only it would star him beating up soldiers. So I watched the Tate videos about 20 times each, and wrote a script that followed the similar formula. We filmed for about 2 hours all around the office. We just kept asking soldiers "Who wants to get destroyed by CPT Wedley in a BraxtanFILM?". Volunteers were not hard to find. We drug this mattress all over the place for people to crash on, but a couple guys still got hurt a little bit. They felt better when they saw the finished product, though. As far as I can tell, this thing has been shown at military units around the world. I get emails from soldiers in
Iraq
thanking me for boosting their morale. Those are the emails that make everything we here at BraxtanFILM do worthwhile. It means a lot to know that something cheesy I did is making some kind of difference somewhere. Anyway, whether your civilian or military, you should enjoy this one!
